If you ever wanted to climb Everest(that being the extreme)you would likely want a pair of poles.
This is about the power of the poles. The poles can increase your heart rate during a normal walking pace. With a lower perceived exertion,it will be easier to sustain your workout. It is a full body engagement.

San Diego Nordic Walking at the It's a Green Day Festival

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego Nordic Walking will participate at the “It’s A Green Day Festival” on Saturday August 7th at NTC Park, Liberty Station, Point Loma, California, at Booth No.: 40a

San Diego Nordic Walking will be attending “It’s A Green Day Festival”. I will show you equipment I have used in the past and what I recommend now.
I will demonstrate the importance of learning how to use your poles correctly.

Before I learned the true benefits of this great exercise Nordic Walking, my experience came from more than 20 years of skiing around Jackson Hole Wyoming. Skiing on varying snow conditions and terrain I would use my poles to add power on the uphill and stability on the downhill.
I now use poles in my everyday hikes to stay fit for my ski adventures.
From what I have learned I believe Nordic Walking to be one of the best forms of exercise for the novice as well as the professional.
