In this course, a more advanced course I will invoke the feeling of cross country skiing.
I will show you the power of the poles on the uphill.
During our walk I will talk about the different types of cross country skiing from light touring to extreme mountaineering. I will show you equipment I have used in the past and what I recommend now.
I will demonstrate the importance of learning how to use your poles correctly.
Before I learned the true benefits of this great exercise Nordic Walking, my experience came from more than 20 years of skiing around Jackson Hole Wyoming. Skiing on varying snow conditions and terrain I would use my poles to add power on the uphill and stability on the downhill.
I now use poles in my everyday hikes to stay fit for my ski adventures.
From what I have learned I believe Nordic Walking to be one of the best forms of exercise for the novice as well as the professional.
