San Diego Nordic Walking will participate at the “It’s A Green Day Festival” on Saturday August 7th at NTC Park, Liberty Station, Point Loma, California, at Booth No.: 40a

San Diego Nordic Walking will be attending “It’s A Green Day Festival”. The opening ceremonies will commence with the San Diego Sea Cadets Corps, Challenger Division delivering a Color Guard in observance of Veterans, current servicemen and servicewomen who received the “Purple Heart Medal”. The Purple Heart is presented to those who have been wounded or killed while serving with the U.S. military. August 7th is the day to observe these servicemen and servicewomen. There will be FREE Live Reggae and Blues Music with East of Echo, Subliminal Trip; Paul Mitchell Salons/Schools providing FREE hairstyle at the event, and Eco Fashion Show and other activities. At the festival you will find emerging and available technologies that promote solutions to environmental problems, ways to green your world by saving energy, reducing pollution, recycling, healthy living, green home products, educational workshops and eco-businesses.
San Diego Nordic Walking products and services offer a great way to get out in the environment and build strength. By engaging the whole body this activity or sport can help build endurance, add stability and burn calories.
Founder Jeff DeMeester a Keenfit, Fittrek, Leki and ANWA trained Nordic Walking instructor who you may see hiking Cowles Mountain or holding clinics around town, started San Diego Nordic Walking with the hope of helping people find ways to get out and explore. He is doing this by helping people that may need added stability or want to add something to their everyday walk or run.
People will be amazed at the lower perceived exertion and at the same time increasing their heart rate and burning more calories.
